The Amigos Book Club will meet online for 4 consecutive essions starting Monday, July 20th. Meeting time is 7pm to 8 pm. (July 20, July 27, August 3 and August 10). Please register by sending an email to info@creartelatino.org.

The Amigos Book Club is a cultural association between CreArte Latino and Bookstore1 that seeks to promote reading books in Spanish among the different communities interested in Hispanic literature and the improvement of the Spanish language.

Descripción/Description Bendíceme Última / Bless Me, Ultima:
Bendíceme, Última es una novela sobre la pérdida de inocencia de un muchacho y su camino hacia la madurez. Pero también trata los temas de la tradición y la educación, de la fe y la duda, y del bien y el mal. Y si Antonio no encuentra una verdad absoluta ensu bÚsqueda, llega a creer con su padre que “a veces toma toda una vida para adquirir la comprensión, el entendimiento, porque al final la comprensión significa sencillamente sentir amor por la gente”.

Bless Me, Ultima is a coming-of-age novel about a young boy's loss of innocence and approach to maturity. But it also deals with tradition and education, faith and doubt, and good and evil. And if Antonio doesn't find an absolute truth in his search, he still comes to believe with his father that "sometimes it takes a lifetime to acquire understanding, because in the end understanding simply means having a sympathy for people."
