It's Beach Read Season!

It’s the time of year when a day at the beach calls out. But, what is it that makes a book a beach read? We think it gives you an escape from reality, it’s easy to read, it’s captivating, and it’s accessible to many readers. A great beach read helps you achieve a summer vibe. It is carefree, compulsively readable, and romantic.

Here are some great selections to pack along with your sunscreen. And when you’re done, keep up the tradition of passing your beach read along...leave it on the beach-house shelf for next week’s renters, or spread the word by telling your friends.

We are particularly excited by these first four selections. Mary Alice Monroe will be introducing her new book The Summer of Lost and Found on Zoom with us on May, 11 at 7. Register here. She will be joined by Elin Hildebrand, who is often called “The Queen of Beach Reads.” Her new book, Golden Girl, will be released on June 1. Native Floridian Mary Kay Andrews’ book The Newcomer just came out this week. And, Mary Alice Monroe and Elin Hilderbrand are both included in another new book Reunion Beach: Stories Inspired by Dorothea Benton Frank.

Here are a few more to stick in your sand pail.
